Founding story Alec Hartman, Co-Founder and CEO I was completely frustrated with the process of buying a house... After the birth of our first child, we started looking for our forever home. Our needs were fairly standard: a quality, functional home that could grow with our family, without rounds of renovations. But like most modern buyers, we were consistently underwhelmed. I decided to take matters into my own hands, literally. I built my own home, acting as a general contractor. After scouting land, handling permits, sourcing materials, and coordinating construction, I finally had the house I dreamed of. But I knew there was a better way. Welcome Homes was born as a solution to bring "better" to everyone.
